Services

I work with a range of clients including children, teens, and adults. I have a passion for supporting families, whether that be through individual work with the child or supporting parents individually, whose children have not been previously established with me. As a mother myself, I understand and respect the difficulties parenting can present for families and believe that with support we can grow and learn to find joy in midst of the chaos. I specialize in addressing concerns, not limited to:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety (General, Social, OCD behaviors, ect.)

  • Trauma

  • Self-harm and Suicidality

  • Sexuality

Therapies Frequently Utilized

  • CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help you take a close look at your thoughts and emotions. This can allow you to better understand how your thoughts, actions, and emotions impact one another. Through CBT, you can unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits.

  • TF-CBT

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is sometimes a shorter-term, structured therapy model primarily designed for children and adolescents in processing childhood traumatic experiences.

  • EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a technique utilized to process through troublesome experiences with the use of bilateral stimulation. This supports the reduction in emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can be safely discussed and allows for a decrease in power that would previously lead to triggering anxiety or avoidance.

  • Play in Therapy

“Toys are used like words by children and play is their language,” - Gary Landreth.

Play in therapy can allow children to safely process through life events with the guidance and support of a trained therapist.

  • Art in Therapy

Art in therapy is a technique rooted in the idea that creative expression can foster healing and mental well-being. Art can be used to help individuals explore emotions, develop self-awareness, cope with stress, boost self-esteem, and work on social skills.
